  • Replacement jerseys and shorts for returning players are available for purchase.
  • Team shooting shirts will be available for purchase through the SBBA team store, but are not required.

All SBBA grade levels were outfitted with new jerseys for 2018-2019 as a part of the registration fee. SBBA plans to replace jerseys on a two year cycle.

Practices will be held Mondays-Thursdays (2 practices/week) in Stoughton at area schools on a regular basis starting in early November (Grades 3-6) and December (Grades 7-8).  Schedules will be emailed out by individual coaches.

The fees for this year’s youth program will continue to pay for league fees, tournaments, practice time, evaluations, referee fees, and equipment as needed. The cost will be:

  • 3rd Grade: $200
  • 4th-8th Grades: $225

If teams play additional tournaments, coaches will inform parents of those additional costs. It will be based on each individual team to determine if they choose to do more than league play.

Players (Grades 2-8th) looking for a recreational competition level, lower costs, and less time commitment should consider the Stoughton Recreation Department's basketball program. While not as intense, it is every bit as focused on player development and helping children to achieve the level of skill that they personally strive for. Time in the recreational league helps a student to better hone both their physical and mental game. Contact Dan Glynn @ or 608-873-6746 with questions. In addition, the Stoughton School District offers a separate Middle School league for grades 7-8th.

Basketball is a vehicle in which “life” lessons are learned. Varied experiences through basketball have the potential to mold one into the person they are to become. Work ethic, ambition, selflessness, sacrifice, pain, and success are just a few of the lessons we hope your children will learn in our youth program. It is our priority that we, as a youth program, communicate this philosophy and program expectations on a daily basis to our young student-athletes. The main goal of our program is to help student-athletes accomplish their goals—athletically, academically, and socially. We believe in goal setting, discussing ways to approach these goals, and developing positive habits that may help your children achieve their best both on and off the basketball court. We believe in the word “TEAM”, and recognize that in a team environment we must communicate and ensure an understanding of roles, commitment, encouragement, sacrifice, and enjoyment.

SBBA is excited, energetic, and enthusiastic about the future of Stoughton Basketball and looks forward to having all of you become part of our wonderful program. We look forward to seeing you this upcoming season.
